Jerusalem Talmud Bava Kamma

Jerusalem Talmud Bava Kamma: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Bava Kamma ("The First Gate"), in the order Nezikin (Damages). Damage done by one's property and oneself, theft, and injury (Exodus 21-22). The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
