Jerusalem Talmud Beitzah

Jerusalem Talmud Beitzah: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Beitzah ("Egg"), in the order Mo'ed (Appointed Times). What may and may not be prepared on a festival day; named for its opening case, an egg laid on a festival. The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
