Jerusalem Talmud Chagigah

Jerusalem Talmud Chagigah: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Chagigah ("Festival Offering"), in the order Mo'ed (Appointed Times). The pilgrim's festival offerings, the limits set on teaching the work of creation and the chariot (Ezekiel 1), and degrees of ritual purity. The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
