Jerusalem Talmud Ketubot

Jerusalem Talmud Ketubot: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Ketubot ("Marriage Contracts"), in the order Nashim (Women). The marriage contract and what husband and wife owe each other. The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
