Jerusalem Talmud Maaser Sheni

Jerusalem Talmud Maaser Sheni: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Maaser Sheni ("Second Tithe"), in the order Zera'im (Seeds). The second tithe, eaten in Jerusalem or exchanged for money spent there (Deuteronomy 14:22-27), and the declaration of tithes (Deuteronomy 26:12-15). The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
