Jerusalem Talmud Sukkah

Jerusalem Talmud Sukkah: the Gemara of the land of Israel on Mishnah Sukkah ("Booth"), in the order Mo'ed (Appointed Times). The festival of Tabernacles: the booth, the four species, and the water-drawing celebration in the Temple (Leviticus 23:33-43). The Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi) was compiled in Galilee, chiefly at Tiberias, about AD 400; each halakhah quotes a passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (HALAKHAH). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English and Hebrew/Aramaic by Heinrich W. Guggenheimer; his footnotes are not reproduced. In the English, words in parentheses and square brackets are his deletions and additions; in the Hebrew, a reading in parentheses is the manuscript's, deleted, and the one in square brackets his correction.
