In historical use by: Catholic (the Roman Rite, in the Tridentine form used until the liturgical reform of the 1960s) — The Proper of Saints for May and June, in the English of F. C. Husenbeth's 1853 Missal for the use of the Laity, including SS. Philip and James, the Finding of the Holy Cross, St Augustin of England, St Anthony of Padua, the Nativity of St John Baptist and SS. Peter and Paul; many days are given by their first words from the Common of Saints with the prayers proper to that saint. A liturgical text of the Catholic Church, not scripture: its Lessons, Epistles and Gospels are readings from Scripture, but the rest is prayer. The form carried here is the one in use from the Council of Trent until the 1950s reform; the Church has since revised the rite. English only for now; the Latin is to be added.
The Masses of the saints' days for May and June in the English of the Rev. F. C. Husenbeth's Missal for the use of the Laity (London, 1853), in the form used from the Council of Trent until the liturgical reform of the 1950s: SS. Philip and James, the Finding of the Holy Cross, St John before the Latin Gate, the Apparition of St Michael, St Augustin of England, St Philip Neri, St Barnabas, St Anthony of Padua, the Vigil and Nativity of St John Baptist, SS. John and Paul, and SS. Peter and Paul. Many days give only the first words of a Mass in the Common of Saints, with the prayers proper to that saint. This is the English only; the Latin is to be added. The words in square brackets are the Missal's own headings and directions. A liturgy of the Catholic Church, not scripture.
