The Words of Ahikar (Aramaic Papyrus)

Author unknown; an Aramaic papyrus from the Jewish military colony at Elephantine in Egypt, copied in the late 5th century BC, making it the oldest known form of the Ahikar tradition. Tells how Ahikar, a wise counselor of the Assyrian kings Sennacherib and Esarhaddon, is betrayed by his adopted nephew Nadan, and gives Ahikar's proverbs. Much shorter and older than the later Story of Ahikar in the same collection, and not a translation of it.
