The Book of Jasher

A genuine medieval Hebrew midrash (likely 12th-13th century, Spain or Italy), retelling biblical history from Creation through the early Judges period with added narrative and legendary detail. This is NOT the ancient 'Book of Jasher' quoted in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, which does not survive -- the title was reused. It is also NOT the well-known 1751 English 'Book of Jasher' published by Jacob Ilive, a literary forgery that circulates under the same title, especially online. Not part of any church's canon.
