De Principiis, Book IV

De Principiis, Book IV: how scripture should be read, defending its divine inspiration and setting out Origen's influential threefold sense of scripture -- bodily (literal), moral, and spiritual. Like Book III, both Rufinus's Latin paraphrase and the Philocalia's surviving Greek fragment (which breaks off partway through, the real extent of what survives, not a truncation here) are preserved side by side.
