The Life of Flavius Josephus

Josephus's own autobiography (c. AD 99), appended by Whiston's edition directly after the Antiquities of the Jews. Recounts his priestly lineage, his command of Jewish forces in Galilee during the revolt against Rome (AD 66-67), his surrender to and favor with Vespasian, and his later life as a Roman citizen under imperial patronage.
