The Roman Missal: the Ordinary of the Mass before the Canon (Latin and English) 1
The Ordinary of the Mass up to the Canon, from the Asperges and the prayers at the foot of the altar through the Gloria, the Creed, the Offertory and the Prefaces to the Sanctus, as printed in the Rev. F. C. Husenbeth's Missal for the use of the Laity (London, 1853), in the form used from the Council of Trent until the liturgical reform of the 1960s. The Latin stands beside the English, as the Hebrew and Greek do elsewhere in this library. The Canon that follows is the separate book from the 1921 Cabrol missal; the changing parts of the Mass (the Introits, Collects, readings and so on for each day) are not yet here. The words in square brackets are the Missal's own directions to the priest. A liturgy of the Catholic Church, not scripture.
