Sirach (Ecclesiasticus)

Written by Jesus ben Sira, a Jerusalem scribe, c. 180 BC, later translated into Greek by his grandson (prologue dated c. 132 BC) -- one of the few apocryphal books with a known, named author. Practical wisdom for daily life, family, and worship, closely echoing the book of Proverbs.
