Baruch

Presented as the words of Baruch, Jeremiah's scribe, during the Babylonian exile (6th century BC), but most scholars regard it as a later, composite, pseudonymous work, likely from the 2nd-1st century BC. Combines a penitential confession, a poem in praise of wisdom, and prophetic-style hope for Jerusalem's restoration.
