My LORD’s BibleTestament of Zebulun 2
1AND now children, I you (sic) to keep the commands of the Lord, and to show mercy to your neighbours, and to have compassion towards all, not towards men only, but also towards beasts.
Καὶ τέκνα παραγγέλλωϑ. ὑμῖν τοῦ φυλάσσεινὃ ἐντολὰς Κυρίουδ Γκαὶ ποιεῖν ἔλεος ἐπὶ τὸν καὶ οὐκ ἀνεᾶεν. κατ αὐτοῦ πάντες ὁμοῦ εἴπομεν. ἐροῦμεν. ἀναγγελῶ. Ἐπ ἐξέδυσαν τὸν χιτῶνα τὸν ποικίλον καὶ ἐνέδυσαν ἱμάτιον παλαιὸν ἐν σχήματι δούλου. πλησίον, καὶ εὐσπλαγχνίαν Ἐἔχειν πρὸς πάντας μόνον ἀνθρώποις, ἀλλὰ Ἐκαὶ ἐν ἀλόγοις ζώοις
2For all this thing's sake the Lord blessed me, and when all my brethren were sick, I escaped without sickness, for the Lord knoweth the purposes of each.
3Have, therefore, compassion in your hearts, my children, because even as a man doeth to his neighbour, even so also will the Lord do to him.
Διὰ γὰρ ταῦτα εὐλόγησέ με Κύριος. πάντων. τῶν ἀδελφῶν μου ἀσθενούντων ἐγὼ ἄνοσος παρῆλθον Κύριος ἑκάστου τὴν προαίρεσιν.
4For the sons of my brethren were sickening and were dying on account of Joseph, because they showed not mercy in their hearts; but my sons were preserved without sickness, as ye know.
ἘΈχετε οὖν ἔλεος ἐν σπλάγχνοις ὅμῶν, ὅτι Ἐεῖ τι ἂν ποιήσῃ τῷ πέκνα ᾿ πλησίον αὐτοῦ, Κύριος ποιήσει Ἔμετ᾽ αὐτοῦ, μου. γὰρ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν μου ἡσθένουν καὶ ἀπέθνησκον διὰ Ἰωσήφ, ὅτι οὐκ ἐποίησαν ἔλεος σπλάγχνοις δὲ ἐμοὶ υἱοὶ ἄνοσοι διεφυλάχθησαν καθὼς οἴδατεἶϑ,
5And when I was in the land of Canaan, by the sea-coast, I made a catch of fish for Jacob my father; and when many were choked in the sea, I continued unhurt.
6I was the first to make a boat to sail upon the sea, for the Lord gave me understanding and wisdom therein.
Καὶ ὅτε ἤμην γῇδ Χαναὰν τὴν αὐτῶν. παραλίανδδ ἐθήρενον Ἰακὼβ Πὰν πατρί μου, καὶ δή ραν πολλῶν ἀγχομένων Ἐὲν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, ἐγὼ ἀβλαβὴς διέ ἰχθύων. μενον
7And I let down a rudder behind it, and I stretched a sail upon another upright piece of wood in the midst.
8And I sailed therein along the shores, catching fish for the house of my father until we came to Egypt.
Πρῶτος ἐγὼ ἐποίησα σκάφος ἐπιπλέειν ὃ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ, ὅτι Κύριος ἔδωκέ μοι σύνεσιν καὶ σοφίανδ ἐν αὐτῷ,
9And through compassion I shared my catch with every stranger.
Καὶ καθῆκαδ ξύλον ὄπισθεν αὐτοθῖ, καὶ ἄλογα ὑμῶν καὶ πρὸς ἴοι, -Ξὅτι πάντων. ἔμεινα, ὀθόνην ἐξέτεινα ἐν Ἐἑτέρῳ ξύλῳ Ἐὲν μέσῳϑ,
10And if a man were a stranger, or sick, or aged, I boiled the fish, and dressed them well, and offered them to all men, as every man had need, grieving with and having compassion upon them.
11Wherefore also the Lord satisfied me with abundance of fish when catching fish; for he that shareth with his neighbour receiveth manifold more from the Lord.
Καὶ ἥμην αὐτῷ διαπορευόμενος αἰγιαλούς, Ἐἁλιεύων ἰχθύας τῷδ τοῦδ πατρός μου ἕως ὅτου ἤλθομεν ᾿ ξένῳ. σπλαγχνιζόμενος μετεδίδουν
12For five years I caught fish and gave thereof to every man whom I saw, and sufficed for all the house of my father.
δὲ ἦν ξένος, ἣ νοσῶν, γηράσας, ἑψήσας τοὺς ἰχθύας, καὶ ᾿ Ἐ ποιήσας αὐτὰ ἀγαθῶς κατὰ τὴν ἑκάστου χρείαν προσέφερον πᾶσι, συναλγῶν καὶ συμπάσχων.
13And in the summer I caught fish, and in the winter I kept sheep with my brethren.
14Now I will declare unto you what I did.
Διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ὁ Κύριος Ἐπολλοὺς ἰχθύας ἐνέπλησέ μεδ ἐν τῇ ἄγρᾳ τῶν ἰχθύων. γὰρ μεταδιδοὺς τῷ πλησίον Ἷ, λαμβάνει πολλαπλασίοναϑ παρὰ Κυρίου. οὖν ἔτη ἡλίευσαϑ, παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ Ῥὸν ἑωράκει μεταδιδούς, καὶ παντὶ τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρός μου ἐξαρκῶν. τὸ μὲν θέρος ἡλίευον, τῷ χειμῶνι ἐποίμαινον μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν ἐν γυμνότητι χειμῶνος, καὶ σπλαγχνισθεὶς αὐτόν, κλέψας ἱμάτιον ἐκ τοῦ οἴκον Ἔτοῦ πατρός μου, κρυφέωςδ ἔδωκα τῷ θλιβομένῳ.
15I saw a man in distress through nakedness in wintertime, and had compassion upon him, and stole away a garment secretly from my father's house, and gave it to him who was in distress.
16Do you, therefore, my children, from that which God bestoweth upon you, show compassion and mercy without hesitation to all men, and give to every man with a good heart.
Καὶ ὑμεῖς οὖν, τέκνα μου, ἐξ ὧν παρέχει ὑμῖν ὁ Θεός, ἀδιακρίτως πάντας σπλαγχνιζόμενοι ἐλεᾶτε, καὶ παρέχετε Ἐπαντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐν ἀγαθῇ καρδίᾳ. καὶ ἐν χειμῶνι, τῷ δὲ χειμῶνι. δὲ μὴ ἔχετε δοῦναι τῷ χρήζντι, συμπάσχετε αὐτῷτ ἐν σπλάγχνοις ἐλέους.
17And if ye have not the wherewithal to give to him that needeth, have compassion for him in bowels of mercy.
Οἴδαδ ὅτι ἡ χείρ ἔοὐχ ἐπιδοῦναι τῷ χρήζντι, καὶ ἐπὶ ἑπτὰ σταδίους συμπορεύομενος αὐτῷ ἔκλαιον καὶ τὰ σπλάγχνα στρέφετο ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ συμπάθειαν. Καὶ ὑμεῖς οὖν, τέκνα μου, ἔχετε εὐσπλαγχνίαν δὲ ἰδὸν Ῥκατὰ παντὸς ἀνθρώπου ἂν ἐλέει, ἵνα καὶ ὃ Κύριος ὑμᾶς σπλαγχνισθεὶς ἐλεήσῃ ὑμᾶς.
18I know that my hand found not the wherewithal to give to him that needed, and I walked with him weeping for seven furlongs, and my bowels yearned towards him in compassion.
19Have, therefore, yourselves also, my children, compassion towards every man with mercy, that the Lord also may have compassion and mercy upon you.
Ὅτι καίγεξ ἐπὶ χρίσθηῃ. ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ὁ Θεὸς ἀποστελεῖδ σπλάγχναϑ ἐμβλέ. αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ὅπου εὕρῃ σπλάγχνα ἐλέους, ποντερ ἂν αὐτῷ κατοικεῖ.
20Because also in, the last days God will send His compassion on the earth, and wheresoever He findeth bowels of mercy He dwelleth in him.
21For in the degree in which a man hath compassion upon his neighbours, in the same degree hath the Lord also upon him.
Ὅσον ἄνθρωπος σπλαγνηί. χνίζεται εἰς Ἐτὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ, τοσοῦτον Ἑκαὶ Κύριος κακοι εἰἷς αὐτόν. κατήλθομεν. Ἐεὶς Αἴγυπτον γίνεσθε Ἰωσὴφ Ἐοὺκ ἐμνησικάκησεν ἡμῖν ὃν προσέχοντες καὶ ὑμεῖς, τέκνα μου ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους καὶ Βιτοῦ Ὅτι τοῦτοϊ χωρίζει ἑνότητα καὶ Γπᾶσαν συγγένειαν ἀδελφοῦ, διασκορπίει, Γκαὶ τὴν ψυχὴν ταράσσει καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον τὴν ὕπαρξιν ἀφαὁ μνησίκακος νίζει, νίζει σπλάγχνα ἐλέους ᾿ οὐκ ἔχει, καὶ ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους, βλέποντες καὶ ὑμεῖς, τι μου, ἀγαπ. ἀλλ.
22And when we went down into Egypt, Joseph bore no malice against us.
Προσέχετε ἴοῦν ἐπὶ τὰ ὕδατα, γνῶτε, πορεύονται ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό, λίθους, ξύλα, γῆν Ἐκαὶ ἕτερά τινα κατασύρουσινἿ. δὲ εἰς πολλὰ διαιρεθῶσιν, ὃ ἡ γὴ ἀφανίζειν αὐτά, γίνονται εὐκαταφρόνητα. ἄμμον.
23To whom taking heed, do ye also, my children, approve yourselves without malice, and love one another; and do not set down in account, each one of you, evil against his brother.
24For this breaketh unity and divideth all kindred, and troubleth the soul, and weareth away the countenance.
Καὶ ὑμεῖς Γοὖν ἐὰν διαιρεθῆτε, ἔσεσθε οὕτως, οὖνδ Ἐχωρισθῆτε ἐν δυσὶ κεφαλαῖς πᾶν ὃ ἐποίησεν εἰς Κύριος κεφαλὴν μίαν κέκτηται, Ἑκαὶ ὥμους δύο, χεῖρας δύο, πόδας δύο καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ μέλη ἅπαντα Ἔγνων Βἔχει, καὶ βασιλέίαις ἐξακολουθήσετε, πόδας ἀλλὰ σύμπαντα μέλη μιᾷ κεφαλῇ ὑπακούει. δαρ ὅτι ἐν ἐσχάταις ἡμέραις ἀποστήσεσθε ἀπὸ Κυρίον καί, αὐτὸ ὦ μὲν τὸ αὐτῷ, ὁμοθυμαδόν πορεύονται πορεύεται, --δά, πάντα τὰ μέλη τῇ ἀλλὰ σὺν πᾶσιν μέλεσιν, καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῇ. ὦ ἔδωκε μὲν γὰρ δύο καὶ πόδ. ἀλλὰ πᾶσι τούτοις κἂν ὅτι διπλᾶ ἡμῖν δέδωκεν ὁ θεός, ἀλλ᾽ οὖν μιᾷ κεφαλῇ ὑπακούει----ἀφυλάξασθε οὖν τέκνα μου τοῦ μὴ διαιρεθῆναι. καὶ πᾶν βδέλυγμα ποιήσετε.
25Observe, therefore, the waters, and know when they flow together, they sweep along stones, trees, earth, and other things.
26But if they are divided into many streams, the earth swalloweth them up, and they vanish away.
Καὶ αἰχμαλωτεύσουσιν ὑμᾶς ἐχθροὶ ὑμῶν πᾶν εἴδωλον προσκν-
27So shall ye also be if ye be divided. Be not Ye, therefore, divided into two heads for everything which the Lord made .hath but one head, and two shoulders, two hands, two feet, and all the remaining members.
Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα μνησθέντες
28For I have learnt in the writing of my fathers, that ye shall be divided in Israel, and ye shall follow two kings, and shall work every abomination.
29And your enemies shall lead you captive, and ye shall be evil entreated among the Gentiles, with many infirmities and tribulations.
Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα μνησθή᾿ Κύριον Τἐπιστρέψετε σεσθεδῖ Κυρίου καὶ θήσεσθε. καὶ ἐλεήσειδ ὑμᾶς, ὅτι μετανοήσετε ἐλεήμων ἐστὶ καὶ εὖκαὶ ἐπιστρέψει ὑμᾶς, ὅτι πάσαις σπλαγχνος, ἐλεήμων ἐστὶ καὶ Ἑ καὶ οὐ λογίζεται κακίαν σπλαγχνος, τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώαἱ μὴ λογιζώμενος πων κίαν υἱοῖς τῶν διότι σάρξ εἶσιν καὶ πλαἀνθρώπων Ἶ διότι σάρξ νῶνται ἐν ταῖς πονηραῖς εἰσιν. αὐτῶν πράξεσιν καὶ Ἐτὰ πνεύματα τῆς πλάνης πλανᾷ ὃ αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ πάσαις πράξεσιν. ταῦτα ἀνα-
30And after these things ye shall remember the Lord and repent, and He shall have mercy upon you, for He is merciful and compassionate.
31And He setteth not down in account evil against the sons of men, because they are flesh, and are deceived through their own wicked deeds.
Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἀνατελεῖ τελεῖ ὑμῖν Ἑαὐτὸς ὑμῖν αὐτὸς Κύριος, Κύριος, Ἐφῶς δικαιοφῶς δικαιοσύνης σύνης καὶ ἐπιστρέψετεδϑ τὴν καὶ ἴασις εὐσπλαγγῆν χνίαδ᾽ ἐνδϑ ταῖς πτέκαὶ ὄψεσθε αὐτὸν ἂν ρυξιν αὐτοῦ. Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἴδιὰ τὸ ὄνοΑὐτὸς λυτρώσεται πᾶσαν μα αὐτοῦ ἅγιον αἰχμαλωσίαν υἱῶν ἀνθρώπων ἐκ τοῦ Βελίιρ καὶ πᾶν πνεῦμα πλάνης πατηθήσεται καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἔθνη εἰς παραζήλωσιν αὐτοῦδὶ, καὶ ὄψεσθε ἐν σχήματι ἀνθρώπου Ἐδν ἂν ἐκλέξηται Κύριος Ἱερουσαλὴμ ὄνομα τῷδ,
32And after these things shall there arise unto you the Lord Himself, the light of righteousness, and ye shall return unto your land.
Καὶ πάλιν Ἐτῇ πανουργίᾳ Ἐτῶν ὑμῶν παροργίσετεδϑ αὐτόν, καὶ ἀπορριφήσεσθεϑ αὐτοῦ ἕως καιροῦ συντελείας.
33And ye shall see Him in Jerusalem, for His name's sake.
34And again through the wickedness of your works shall ye provoke Him to anger,
Καὶ νῦν τέκνα μου, μὴ λυπεῖσθε ἀποθνήσκω, μηδὲ συμπέσητε ὅτι ἀπολήγωϑ.
35And ye shall be cast away by Him unto the time of consummation.
᾿Αναστήσομαι γὰρ πάλιν μέσφδ ὑμῶν, ἡγούμενος Ἐὲν μέσῳ υἱῶν Κύριος, ἐν Ἵερ. διὰ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, καὶ κληθήσεται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ μεγάλης αὐτοῦ, εὐφρανθήσομαι μέσῳ τῆς φυλῆς μου, Ἐοΐτινες ἐφύφυλάξουσιν᾽Ὁ νόμον Κυρίου ἐντολὰς Ζαβουλὼν πατρὸς αὐτῶν.
36And now, my children, grieve not that I am dying, nor be cast down in that I am coming to my end.
37For I shall rise again in the midst of you, as a ruler in the midst of his sons; and I shall rejoice in the midst of my tribe, as many as shall keep the law of the Lord, and the commandments of Zebulun their father.
Ἐπὶ δὲ τοὺς ἀσεβεῖς ἐπάξει Κύριος πῦρ αἰώνιον, καὶ ἀπολεῖ αὐτοὺς Ῥξως γενεὰς δὲ τὴν ἀνάπαυσίν ἀποτρέχω, πατέρες
38But upon the ungodly shall the Lord bring eternal fire, and destroy them throughout all generations.
39But I am now hastening away to my rest, as did also my fathers.
Ὑμεῖς δὲ φοβεῖσθε Κύριον. θεὸν ἡμῶν ἐν πάσῃ ἰσχύι ὑμῶν πάσας ὑμῶν. χὰς τῆς ὡῆς ὑμῶν
40But do ye fear the Lord our God with all your strength all the days of your life.
Καὶ ταῦτα εἰπὼν ἐκοιμηθη. ΓΡύπνῳ καλῷ ἷ, καὶ ἔθηκαν αὐτὸν υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Ὁ εἰς θήκην ξυλίνην
41And when he had said these things he fell asleep, at a good old age.
42And his sons laid him in a wooden coffin. And afterwards they carried him up and buried him in Hebron, with his fathers.
Ὕστερον δὲ ἀναγαγόντες θήκῃ. ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν ἂν μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ
