Babylonian Talmud Sukkah
Babylonian Talmud Sukkah: the Babylonian Gemara on Mishnah Sukkah ("Booth"), in the order Mo'ed (Appointed Times). The festival of Tabernacles: the booth, the four species, and the water-drawing celebration in the Temple (Leviticus 23:33-43). The Babylonian Talmud (Talmud Bavli) was edited in the academies of Babylonia until about AD 500 or later and became the authoritative Talmud of Jewish law; it quotes each passage of the Mishnah (MISHNAH) and then discusses it (GEMARA), and is cited by folio, as on the page headings here (2a, 2b). It is rabbinic law and teaching, not scripture. English from Daf Shevui (Conservative Yeshiva, CC0); Hebrew and Aramaic from Wikisource's Vilna text.
