My LORD’s BibleTestament of Judah 4
1AND now, my children, I command you, love Levi, that ye may abide, and exalt not yourselves against him, lest ye be utterly destroyed.
νῦν, τέκνα παραγγέλλω ὑμῖν, ἀγαπᾶτε τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ. τὸν Λευὶ διαμείνητε καὶ ἑπαίρεσθεῖ ἐπ’ αὐτόν, ἵνα μὴ ἐξολοθρευθῆτεϑ. Ἐμοὶ γὰρ ἔδωκεν Ἔ ὁ θεὸς τὴν βασιλείαν, κἀκείνῳ γὴν ἱερατείαν καὶ Κύριος, ὑπέταξε τὴν βασιλείαν ἱερωσύνῃ
2For to me the Lord gave the kingdom, and to him the priesthood, and He set the kingdom beneath the priesthood.
3To me He gave the things upon the earth; to him the things in the heavens.
Ἐμοὶ β-αν, ἔδωκεν τὰ ἐπὶ γῆς, ἐκείνῳ τὰ ἐν οὐρανοῖς ὃς Ἐῤπερέχει ἡ ἱερατεία τοῦ θεοῦ τῆς ἐπιγείου οὐρανὸς βασιλείας ἐὰν μὴ δι’ ἁμαρτίας ἐκπέσῃ ἀπὸ καὶ τῆς γῆς, κυριευθῇ τῆς ἐπιγείου βασιλείας,
4As the heaven is higher than the earth, so is the priesthood of God higher than the earthly kingdom, unless it falls away through sin from the Lord and is dominated by the earthly kingdom.
5For the angel of the Lord said unto me: The Lord chose him rather than thee, to draw near to Him, and to eat of His table and to offer Him the first-fruits of the choice things of the sons of Israel; but thou shalt be king of Jacob.
γὰρ ἄγγελος Κυρίου εἶπέ ὅτι αὐτὸν ὑπέρ σε ἐξελέξατο Κύριος καὶ γάρ. προσεγγίζειν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐσθίειν τὴνϑ τράπεζαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ᾿ἀπαρχὰς Ἐαὐτῷ προσφέρειν ἐντρυφημάτωνδ υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ. ἐν αὐτῇ δίκαιοι χειμάζονται μὲν αἰχμαλωτιζόμενοι δίκαιοι καὶ δὲ πλουτοῦντες Ἶ, οὕτως καὶ σοὶ πᾶν γένος ὅ ἄδικοι. Ἐπ ἁρπάζοντες Ἐτὰ ἀλλότρια βασιλεύἘοΐ βασιλεῖς ὡς κήτη ἔσονται δῦ, οντες καταπίνοντες ἀνθρώπους ὡς ἰχθύας ἐν σοὶ υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας ἐλευθέρων καταδουλώσουσιν ὡς κήτη, οἴκους, ἀγρούς, ποίμνια, χρήματα ἁρπάσουσιν
6And thou shalt be amongst them as the sea.
7For as, on the sea, just and unjust are tossed about, some taken into captivity while some are enriched, so also shall every race of men be in thee: some shall be impoverished, being taken captive, and others grow rich by plundering the possessions of others.
Καὶ πολλῶν σάρκας ἀδίκως κόρακας Ἔ καὶ ἴβεις δἴ μᾶς Καὶ χορτάσουσιν υἱοὺς Γκαὶ προκόψουσινδϑ ἐπὶ κακῷ ἂν πλεονεξίᾳ ὑψούμενοι, ἐλευ
8For the kings shall be as sea-monsters.
9They shall swallow men like fishes: the sons and daughters of freemen shall they enslave; houses, lands, flocks, money shall they plunder:
Καὶ ἔσονται καταιγίδες ψευδοπροφῆται καὶ πάντας δικαίους διώξουσιν οἴκους... Ἐπάξειϊ δὲ αὐτοῖς Κύριος διαιρέσεις κατ᾽ ἀλλήκαὶ πόλεμοι συνεχεῖςἾ ἔσονται ἐν Ἰσραήλ.
10And with the flesh of many shall they wrongfully feed the ravens and the cranes; and they shall advance in evil in covetousness uplifted, and there shall be false prophets like tempest, and they shall persecute all righteous men.
11And the Lord shall bring upon them divisions one against another.
Καὶ ἐν ἀλλοφύλοις συντελεσθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία ἕως Ἐτοῦ ἐλθεῖνΤ τὸ σωτήριον τοῦϑ Ἰσραήλ᾽, κήτη. δῖΑ καὶ καταπίονται Ἰσραήλ ὡς ᾽ ἐσθίοντες ἰχθύας καὶ ἀνθρώπους, πολλὰ σώματα τῶν ἀδίκων κόρακες καὶ καθαρματοφαγοῦσαι ὄρνιθες χορτάσουσιν, Γξως παρουσίας Θεοῦ τῆς δικαιοσύνης ᾿ ἡσυχάσαι τὸν Ἰακὼβ ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη αὐτὸς φυλάξει κράτος ὅ βασιλείας μου ἕως αἰῶνος ὅρκῳ γὰρ ὥμοσέ μοι Κύριος μὴ μὴ βασίλειον ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματός ἕως αἰῶνος τὰς καὶ γοητείας ἂς ποιήσετε τὸ βασίλειον ἐγγαστριμύθοις Ἷ ἐξακολουθοῦντες κληδόσιϑ καὶ δαίμοσ θυγατέρας ὑμῶν μουσικὰς καὶ δημοσίας ποιήσετε λατρείας. ἐπιμιγήσεσθε Ἐδν βδελύγμασιν ἐθνῶν. ὧν ἐπάξει Κύριος ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς Ἰ λιμὸν καὶ λοιμόν᾽, θάνατον καὶ ῥομφαίαν ἐκδικοῦσαν πολιορκίαν καὶ κύνας εἰς διασπασμὸν ἐχθρῶν καὶ φίλων ὀνειδισμούς ἀπώλειαν ἐχθρῶν, β,Α, καὶ Ἐσφακελισμὸν Γὀφθαλμῶν, καὶ νηπίων ὑπαρχόντων ἁρπαγήν θεοῦ ἐμπρησμόν Ἐγῆς ἐρήκαὶ συμ. μωσιν Ἐὐὑμῶν δὲ αὐτῶν δουλείαν ἐν ἔθνεσιν.
12And there shall be continual wars in Israel; and among men of another race shall my kingdom be brought to an end, until the salvation of Israel shall come.
13Until the appearing of the God of righteousness, that Jacob, and all the Gentiles may rest in peace.
Καὶ βίων ἐἧκτεμοῦσι Ἐτοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν εἰς εὐνούχους ἕ ταῖς γυναιξὶν οὐ τον,
14And He shall guard the might of my kingdom for ever; for the Lord aware to me with an oath that He would not destroy the kingdom from my seed for ever.
15Now I have much grief, my children, because of your lewdness and witchcrafts, and idolatries which ye shall practise against the kingdom, following them that have familiar spirits, diviners, and demons of error.
Ἕως ἂν Ἐἐπισκέψηται κύριος ὑμῖνδδ, ἐν σιν ἐπιστρέψητε πρὸς κύριον. τελείᾳ καρδίᾳ μεταμελουμένους καὶ πορευομένους ἐν πάσαις αἰχμαλωσίας ἐθνῶν καὶ πορευό-
16Ye shall make your daughters singing girls and harlots, and ye shall mingle in the abominations of the Gentiles.
17For which things' sake the Lord shall bring upon you famine and pestilence, death and the sword, beleaguering by enemies, and revilings of friends, the slaughter of children, the rape of wives, the plundering of possessions, the burning of the temple of God, the laying waste of the land, the enslavement of yourselves among the Gentiles.
ἘΚαὶ μετὰ ταῦτα
18And they shall make some of you eunuchs for their wives.
19Until the Lord visit you, when with perfect heart ye repent and walk in all His commandments, and He bring you up from captivity among the Gentiles.
Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἀνατελεῖ ὑμῖν ὃ ἄστρον ἀνατελεῖ τὸ ἄστρον εἷσκέψηται ἐξ ἐν ἀρέσῃ τοῦ τῆς καὶ ἀναστήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωδικαιοσύνης ἐλεεῖ πος ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματός καὶ συμπορεύσεται ἀνθρώκαὶ ἀναμου ὡς ἥλιος δικαιοποις Ἐὲν πραότητι καὶ Ὑ σύνης δικαιοσύνῃ συμπορευόμενος Ἷ τοῖς θρώποιςὃ ἐν πραότητι καὶ δικαιοσύνῃ. πᾶσα ἁμαρτία οὐχ εὑρεθήσεται ἐν αὐτῷ.
20And after these things shall a star arise to you from Jacob in peace,
21And a man shall arise from my seed, like the sun of righteousness,
Καὶ ἀνοιγήσονται ἐπ᾽ ἀνοιγήσονται αὐτῷ αὐτῷ οἱ οὐρανοὶ οὐρανοὶ πνεῦμαδ εὖλοκαὶ ἐκχυθήσονται εὐλογίαι γίαν πατρὸς ἁγίου πατρὸς ἁγίου αὐτῷ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐκχεεῖ πνεῦμα καὶ αὐτὸς ἐκχεεῖ ἐφ᾽ χάριτος ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς. Τὴἡμᾶς πνεῦμα χάριτος. ἔσεσθε αὐτῷ εἷς
22Walking with the sons of men in meekness and righteousness;
23And no sin shall be found in him.
Καὶ ἔσεσθε αὐτῷ εἰς υἷοἀληθείᾳ. ἐν ἀληθείᾳ θεσίαν ἀληθείας καὶ πορεύσεσθε ἐν προσκαὶ πορεύσεσθε ἐν τοῖς τάγμασιν αὐτοῦ πρώπροστάγμασιν αὐτοῦ τοις καὶ ἐσχάτοις. πρώτοις καὶ δευτέροις. Οὗτος ὁ βλαστὸς Θεοῦ Τότε ἀναβήσεται βλαστὸς ὑψίστου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ β-ά, καὶ αὕτη ἡ πηγὴ πᾶσι εἶς ζωὴν ὠ ἝὀΑπαρέχουσα ζωήν σαρκός.
24And the heavens shall be opened unto him, to pour out the spirit, even the blessing of the Holy Father; and He shall pour out the spirit of grace upon you;
25And ye shall be unto Him sons in truth, and ye shall walk in His commandments first and last.
Τότε ἀναλάμψει σκῆπῬἀναλάμψει σκῆττρον βασιλείας μου τρον βασιλείας μου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ῥίζης ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς ῥίζης ὑμῶν πηγή. γενήσεται πυθμήν ἀναστήσεται πυθμήν, ἐν
26Then shall the sceptre of my kingdom shine forth; and from your root shall arise a stem; and from it shall grow a rod of righteousness to the Gentiles, to judge and to save all that call upon the Lord.

27And after these things shall Abraham and Isaac and Jacob arise unto life; and I and my brethren shall be chiefs of the tribes of Israel:
Καὶ Ἐ ἐξ αὐτῆς βλαστήσει
28Levi first, I the second, Joseph third, Benjamin fourth, Simeon fifth, Issachar sixth, and so all in order.
29And the Lord blessed Levi, and the Angel of the Presence, me; the powers of glory, Simeon; the heaven, Reuben; the earth, Issachar; the sea, Zebulun; the mountains, Joseph; the tabernacle, Benjamin; the luminaries, Dan; Eden, Naphtali; the sun, Gad; the moon, Asher.
Καὶ ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἀναβήσεβήσεται. ῥάβδος δικαιοσύνης Ὁ ται ῥάβδος δικαιοσύνης τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν Ἐ μρῖναι καὶ σῶσαι πάνκρῖναι καὶ σῶσαι πάντας τοὺς ἐπικαλουμέτας τοὺς ἐπικαλουμένους τὸν Κύριον. Κύριον. μένος. Ἰσαὰκ καὶ Ἰακὼβ εἰς ζωήν καὶ ἐγὼδ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου ἔξαρχοι Ἴσκήπτρωνδ Ἰσραὴλ ἐσόμεθαϊ, πρῶτος Λευίϑ, δεύτερος ἐγώ, τρίτος ᾿Ιωσήφ, τέταρτος πέμπτος ἘΣυμεών͵ ἕκτος ᾿σαχάρ καὶ οὕτως καθεξῆς. Κύριος τὸν Λευί, ἄγγελος τοῦ Α΄ προσώπου ἐμέ, αἱ τῆς δόξης τὸν Συμεών εὐλογήὃ οὐρανὸς τὸν τὸν Ἰσαχὰρ γῆ ἡ θάλασσα Ἰὼ τὸν Ζαβουλών, τὰ ὄρη τὸν Ἰωσήφ, ἡ σκηνὴ Ἐτὸν Βενιαμήνἵδ, οἱ φωστῆρες τὸν Δάν Ἑὴἡ Ττρυφὴ τὸν Νεφθαλείμ, Ἔδ ἥλιος τὸν Γάδ, Ἐἡ σελήνη τὸν ᾿Ασήρ. Ἐξσεαφε εἰς λαὸν ἔσονται λαὸν Κυρίου ἔσται Κυρίου, καὶ Ἐγλῶσσα καὶ μία γλῶσσα εἷς λαός, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν πνεῦκαὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐκεῖ πνεῦμα πλάνης μα πλάνης τοῦ Βελίαρ, ὅτι ἐμβληθήσεται μιαρὰ ὅτι ἐμβληθήσεται, ἐν πυπνεύματα εἰς κρίσιν ρὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα αἰώνιον. ὃ Καὶ οἱ δ᾽ ἐν λύπῃ τελευ-
30And ye shall be the people of the Lord, and have one tongue; and there shall be there no spirit of deceit of Beliar, for he shall be cast into the fire for ever. 31 And they who have died in grief shall arise in joy, and they who were poor for the Lord's sake shall be made rich, and they who are put to death for the Lord's sake shall awake to life.
32And the harts of Jacob shall run in joyfulness, and the eagles of Israel shall fly in gladness; and all the people shall glorify the Lord for ever.
Καὶ οἱ ἐν λύπῃ τελευτήτήσαντες ἀναστήσονται σαντες ἀναστήσονται ἐν χαρᾷ καὶ οἱ διὰ Κύριον ἀποθνήκαὶ οἱ πτωχοὶ διὰ Κύσκοντες ἐξυπνισθήσονριον πλουτισθήσονται ται. καὶ οἱ ἀποθνήσκοντες διὰ ἐξυπνισθήσον. ἢ Ἐ εἰς ζωήν, καὶ ἔλαφοι ᾿Ἰασὶμρ ἔλαφοι τοῦ Ἰακὼβ δραμοῦνται ἐν ἀγαλλιάδραμοῦνται σει, καὶ δαμάλεις τοῦ Ἶσκαὶ οἱ ἐν καὶ ἀετοὶ Ἰσραὴλ περαὴλ πηδιάσουσιν τασθήσονται δ᾽ ἐν χαρᾷ καὶ πάντες λαοὶ δοξάσουδὲ ἀσεβεῖς πενθήσουσιν σιν Κύριον αἰῶνα. καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ κλαύσονται καὶ πάντες λαοὶ δοξάσουσι τὸν ὅ Κύριον εἰς ὅδ αἰῶνας. Φυλάξατεϊ οὖν τέκνα μου τὸν νόμον θύνουσε. ἐστὶν Ἐπᾶσιν ἐλπὶς τοῖς κατέχουσιν ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ. εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὅτι ἐγὼ Ἐ ἑκατὸν ὅτι. Ἐδέκα καὶ ὀκτὼ ἐτῶν ἀποθνήσκω σήμερον
33Observe, therefore, my children, all the law of the Lord, for there is hope for all them who hold fast unto, His ways.
34And he said to them: Behold, I die before your eyes this day, a hundred and nineteen years old.
Μηδείς ἐνταφιάσει ἐν
35Let no one bury me in costly apparel, nor tear open my bowels, for this shall they who are kings do; and carry me up to Hebron with you.
36And Judah, when he had said these things, fell asleep; and his sons did according to all whatsoever he commanded them, and they buried him in Hebron, with his fathers.
Μηδείς ἐνταφιάσῃ θαλμοῖς πολυτελεῖ ἐσθῆτι, ἀλλὰ ἄναἱ πολυτελεῖ ἐσθῆτιϊ, ἣ Ἐτὴν γάγετέξ με ἐν. Χεβρών, ἔνθα κοιλίαν ἀναρρήξει δτι καὶ οἱ πατέρες μου. ταῦταμέλλουσι ποιεῖν, Ἐοὶ βασιλεύοντες καὶ ἀναγάγετέ με εἰς Χεβρὼν Ἐμεθ᾽ ὑμῶν, ταῦτα εἰπὼν ἐκοιμήθη Ἰούδας μετὰ καὶ ἐποίησαν υἱοὶ πατέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐποίησαν ούδας. αὐτοῦ κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνεκαθάπερ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς τείλατο αὐτόξε; καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν Ἐμετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ Χεβρών
